Who is Piper's Aviary?

Piper's Aviary is a family run aviary.  We raise and care for our flock from our home in Algonquin, Illinois.  Our birds are cared for with love and compassion from all members of our family.  We produce quality cockatiels of a wide variety of mutations such as natural greys, whiteface, cinnamon, pearls, pieds, lutinos, as well as more rare mutations such as silvers, pastel face, yellow-cheek, and emeralds.  We work carefully with each line to produce genetically sound and healthy birds.   Our aviary has a clean bill of health as we health test our flock every six months.  We test for bordetella avium, PBFD, pacheco's disease, polyomavirus, psittacosis, and PDD.  We have a strict sanitation routine for our aviary and keep our cages and open flight clean and tidy.  We treat our flock as family and often spend quality time with the birds on a regular basis.  We feed our birds a wide variety diet to include needed vitamins and mineral to live a happy healthy life.  This diet includes healthy seed, pellets, herbs, vegetables, grains, and fruit.  The health of our birds is always priority.  We welcome you to Piper's Aviary, have a look around and see what we are all about.

MEET THE TEAM

ME_edited.jpg

My name is Jenni and I am the founder of Piper's Aviary.  I have a pet indian ringneck named Rio.  I am a Nurse by trade and a bird enthusiast.  I am also a volunteer search and rescue K9 handler.  I have self studied intensely on the genetics of cockatiels and bird ownership.  I am the primary care giver of our flock and am very experienced in hand raising and caring for baby birds.  I have rescued multiple birds from less than acceptable situations and have successfully found them safe and loving homes.
