Retired birds
Birds are retired from Piper's Aviary for many different reasons. Age, lack of interest in breeding, medical reasons, or breeding quality not up to par with our standards are just some of the reasons. When retiring a bird, we will look at the bird as a whole to determine best placement. Some birds are able to return to pet status and find a loving home. Other may find themselves with other breeders or into retirement in aviary setting. If the appropriate home can not be located for a retired bird, said birds will remain here at Piper's Aviary. Piper's Aviary never contributes to the overflow of birds in shelters or rescue care.
